Michelle Thinius
Michelle has held executive positions within Canberra Health Services overseeing maternity, gynaecology and neonatology services. Michelle is a Registered Midwife with post graduate qualifications and extensive experience working with families.
Michelle has been integral in system-wide reform and innovation of ACT public health services improving accessibility to wraparound services for individuals and their families. Projects included the Maternity in Focus: The ACT Public Maternity System Plan 2022- 2032; introduction of a Health Justice Partnership in a maternity setting; a publicly-funded homebirth program and an ACT Maternity Single Access Strategy.
Michelle enjoys travelling and has spent much time in Japan with her husband skiing, eating and exploring! Michelle is the mother of two adult children who she is very proud of.
