Client Services Officer
Full-time or Part-time
$66,610 – $79,785 pro rata
About the role
Work as part of a supportive, collaborative team to be the first point of contact for clients, referring agencies and other stakeholders and provide secretarial and administrative support to the Centre’s legal practices.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Perform intake assessments for all incoming clients, including trauma-informed collection of information, completing relevant client need assessment documentation, identifying possible conflicts of interests, assessing eligibility and making client appointments and appropriate referrals.
- Triage requests for assistance and respond in a timely and appropriate manner to enquiries from referring agencies and other stakeholders about the work of the Centre.
- Provide high quality secretarial and administrative support for the Centre’s legal and social work practice areas, and the Centre more broadly, as required.
Qualifications & experience
We are looking for someone who is empathetic and resilient, with interest or experience in legal and community support systems. This role will suit someone who is experienced in client facing roles, and comfortable receiving and analysing complex and sensitive personal information.
You:
- Are reliable, organised and detail oriented
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Can demonstrate your strong communication skills – especially your excellent phone manner, ability to listen and manage difficult conversations
- Have knowledge of, or interest in, Australia’s legal systems and processes
- Possess strong administrative skills, and are comfortable using databases and systems
- Identify as a woman, trans or non-binary person
