About the role
The Social Worker provides flexible case management support to women receiving legal assistance and experiencing family violence and other complex circumstances, as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide high quality casework to clients experiencing challenges intersecting with their legal matter to support their engagement with and resolution of their legal matter
- Undertake comprehensive and ongoing risk assessments and safety planning with women, informed by legal advice and up to date best practice principals that prioritises safety and empowerment for clients
- Work collaboratively with the team and Centre’s other professionals to meet client needs and ensure services are integrated
Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for membership of AASW.
- Hold or eligible for Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT). For further information please refer to Access Canberra
