The Women’s Legal Centre ACT seeks a mid-tier lawyer (2years PAE+) and a senior lawyer (4 years PAE+) to join our family law team.
The family law team works alongside our social work and employment law teams to provide holistic legal services to the women of Canberra. We are experts in understanding the dynamics of domestic and family violence. We use the family law system to help clients achieve long-term safety outcomes and financial independence.
No day is ever the same. Our family lawyers have a mixed case load of children and property matters, including litigated family law matters and early intervention Care and Protection work. Our lawyers work collaboratively with our community partners to deliver accessible legal services to women, including providing services offsite.
Senior Family Lawyers contribute to the management of the Centre and take responsibility for the development and delivery of specific Programs or practice areas. They also work closely with the Head of Practice (Family Law) to develop the strategic direction of the Family Law Practice.

Mid-Tier Lawyers (2-4 years PAE in family law) – $84-95K +super. Please see the position description here.
